Public Sector Probity and Integrity

Tuesday 15 July 2025 at 09:00 am - Tuesday 15 July 2025 at 05:00 pm
PD Workshops

NSW Public Sector and local government staff, particularly those working across public works have key responsibilities to ensure that probity is able to be confidently demonstrated. Defined as ‘complete and confirmed integrity, uprightness and honesty’, probity is evidence of ethical behaviour. Using actual case studies from public sector, this 1-day workshop will equip participants with an understanding of the essential aspects of ethics and probity and how they apply in practice.

It has been developed in consultation with the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).

Outcomes

Participants can expect to gain the below outcomes from this workshop:

  • Understanding the concept of probity and its importance in the public sector and local government.

  • Familiarity with the definition of probity as 'complete and confirmed integrity, uprightness, and honesty'.

  • Knowledge of ethical behavior and its significance in public works and government roles.
