This unit of competency will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to enable an individual to lead a team during a road safety audit. This unit is well suited to all those highly practiced in conducting road safety audits and considerably experienced in road infrastructure design, construction or maintenance.
Prerequisites
Before you register for this course, please ensure you have the below required qualifications and experience.
- Have completed the IPWEA NSW / ACT Conduct Road Safety Audit Workshop, or similar complying course from another Australian or New Zealand jurisdiction.
- Have completed 6 or more Road Safety Audits
- Have 7 or more years’ experience in the Road Safety industry.
- Have proficient English literacy skills for report writing.
- Are currently registered on the TfNSW register or road safety auditors as a Level 2 auditor.
Course Facilitator
Wayde Hazelton has been involved with a broad range of road safety and traffic management activities for over 25 years and is the current Director at WaySafe. His experience includes, level crossing safety, cyclist and pedestrian network and route development, and use development assessment, RAV and PBS route assessment and a wholistic approach to the integration of traffic management and road safety. |
Statement of Attainment
This is a nationally recognised unit of competence and successful completion of an assessment leads to a Statement of Attainment for the unit NAT11283002 - Lead road safety audits.
IPWEA NSW will provide suitable learning experiences and opportunities for all Participants. The learning environment will take into account the different characteristics of Participants and their varying cultural and educational backgrounds.
Times
Please arrive by 8:20am on Day 1. The course will commence promptly at 8:30am and finishes at 5:00pm on both days. Morning and afternoon teas and lunch are provided on both days.
