With more than 400 bridges across NSW being replaced as part of the $500 million NSW Government Fixing Country Bridges program, it is important to ensure local councils are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary tools to successfully implement and manage new bridge systems. IPWEA NSW & ACT has developed an in-house training for Bridge Design based on the IPWEA BRIDGEdesign Guide.
The 4-hour course will cover basic information required for the investigation, design, construction and maintenance of new bridges, to ensure that safety and quality assurance requirements are met throughout. It will also include case-studies and the opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas with experienced professionals.
Your attendance at this course will provide you with a basic understanding of:
- Investigation of design parameters
- Bridge Design specifications
- Bridge Construction
- Bridge Maintenance considerations.
