Rehabilitation of Rawdon Island Bridge

The Rawdon Island Bridge is an eight-span 164m long structure spanning the Hastings River near Port Macquarie, NSW. Following significant flooding in March 2021, dive inspections were undertaken on all major bridge structures. These inspections undertaken mid-June 2021, identified significant structural degradation to the large diameter pile foundations. The bridge was considered a high risk of catastrophic collapse. *Publication of papers represents the opinion of author and does not necessarily represent the position of IPWEA NSW & ACT.
