The IPWEA NSW & ACT Chapter Meetings serve as crucial forums for professionals in the public works engineering sector to come together, exchange knowledge, and address the challenges and opportunities facing their regions. The Regional Chapters meet two times each year, to discuss a wide range of technical issues such as environmental management, construction, water and sewerage, road maintenance, road safety, disaster recovery, and urban heat island. In addition, special meetings may be called for the AGM or other special events such as seminars, working parties, etc.

Meeting Agenda
Draft agendas include one or two technical presentations from Council on a recent project and a technical presentation from a stakeholder relevant to the meeting topic. There is time allocated for a round table discussion where represented councils and organisations can update the regional group on recent projects, difficulties, successes and experiences they have had since the last meeting. At the conclusion of the meeting, there may also be a site tour or social function.
