Renewed Partnership Between IPWEA and CNAM

The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) and the Canadian Network of Asset Managers (CNAM) have renewed their Partnership Agreement which aims to identify ways to better serve our respective organisations, members and communities through collaboration and exchange of information, education, training, technology and management practices.

Asset Management is the primary area for collaboration between the two organisations. Both associations pay recognition to Asset Management as an integral element in the design, construction, maintenance, and renewal of public infrastructure and a long-term contributor to the sustainable delivery of services to our communities. The Agreement facilitates IPWEA’s objective to engage with strategic international partners and to increase recognition of IPWEA’s educational programs. The Agreement will also support CNAM’s goal to build sustainable relationships with international organisations to unify and improve the state of Asset Management practice.

“We’re delighted to be strengthening our relationship with the Canadian Network of Asset Managers and remain committed to working with CNAM to help develop capacity in Asset Management across Canada.” Said IPWEA President Rita Excell. As an initial first step, the Partnership Agreement between CNAM and IPWEA has put arrangements in place for Canadian Asset Management professionals to undertake in a number of IPWEA’s online Professional Certificate in Asset Management Planning, Professional Certificate in Infrastructure Financial Management and Asset Management Fondations courses. “CNAM is very pleased to renew its long-standing, collaborative partnership with IPWEA as both organisations continue the pursuit of developing and enhancing Canadian Asset Management.” Said Matt Dawe, CNAM President.

The continuation of this esteemed partnership furthers CNAM’s goal to engage and support knowledge generation in Asset Management, as well as IPWEA’s objective to grow professional networks to inform, connect and transfer knowledge on an international stage.
