IPWEA NSW appoints new CEO
IPWEA NSW is pleased to announce that Ms Francine Binns has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
Francine brings a distinguished leadership record from the associations sector where she has held senior executive and board positions both locally and overseas.
While living in Sydney since 2014, Francine has held senior roles at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Also during this time she served a term on the Board of the City Tattersalls Club.
Francine has led a wide variety of projects and services during her career, including well-regarded large scale conferences, prosperous membership growth projects and highly successful professional development programs. She holds qualifications in Marketing, Business Administration, Auditing and Corporate Governance.
"I’m looking forward to working with the members and the broader NSW community to drive initiatives that deliver excellence in public works and services. I would like to thank the President and the Board for their confidence in making the CEO appointment" said Ms Binns.
IPWEA NSW President, Warren Sharpe OAM, said the Chief Executive Officer recruitment process was extensive and thorough.
"Francine was chosen from an extremely impressive field of candidates" said Mr Sharpe.
"We are delighted Francine will be leading our organisation into the forthcoming new term of the Board, working with the membership to formulate new strategies and mapping our exciting future” he added.
"IPWEA NSW has a strong commitment to diversity, advocacy and engaging public works professionals to improve the quality of life of NSW Communities. We only have to reflect on the recent tragic bush fires occurring across NSW to appreciate the important role public works professionals have in our community. I am thrilled to be taking on this role” said Francine late last week.
Francine will commence in the role on 3 February 2020, and will be heavily involved in the forthcoming Regional Forums running across NSW in coming months.
