Overview

View a presentation from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulators on how to maximise council's use of Power BI portals in managing freight.

Webinar series complimentary to IPWEA NSW & ACT members.

About this presentation

When the Heavy Vehicle National Law commenced in 2014, councils got the power to directly manage heavy vehicle movements on their road network. Since then, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has progressively refined the information councils can access to help improve knowledge of what permitted heavy vehicles are going where.

The NHVR recently launched a series of Power BI road manager profile reports in council accounts on the NHVR Portal which allow heavy vehicle movement information to be simply viewed over time, by vehicle type, by route or a combination of all of these in real time – all with a GIS map so you can see where your streets connect to approved state heavy vehicle networks.

This session will empower you to use these reports to better manage your freight task and easily identify opportunities to reduce permit volumes to improve business efficiency within councils and the businesses that are part of your communities.
