This qualification reflects the role of employees working in supervisory positions in civil construction. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of the output of others, contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems and apply management plans to the workplace.

The qualification consists of five (5) core and seven (7) elective units and includes the Conduct Road Safety course regularly conducted by IPWEA.  This course facilitates registration as a road safety auditor.

Two additional electives to be chosen on enrolment that apply to the candidate’s work environment. Discuss with IPWEA staff on enrolment.

Course Duration

Candidates are expected to compete within six (6) months but additional time can be allocated under extenuating circumstances.

Candidates should allocate up to 5 hours per week to do Recognition knowledge activities and collect evidence.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Candidates will need to be working in a civil construction environment to demonstrate application of skills.  They will also need to demonstrate sound oral and written communication in English and Numeracy.

A computer with internet access is also required and ability to operate Word and Excel programs.

Attendance Requirements

Candidates are required to attend the two day Conduct Road Safety Audits program as part of this qualification. 

Candidates are also required to undertake phone or online interviews with IPWEA trainers and assessors on four occasions.

Introductory price $4,500 ($2500 payable on commencement and $2000 payable three (3) months after commencement)

STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT

Participants who successfully undertake assessment associated with this course will receive a statement of attainment for the following unit of competency - RSACRA001 Conduct road safety audits.

IPWEA NSW will provide suitable learning experiences and opportunities for all students. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made by the registrant not less than 5 working days from commencement of the workshop/course will be able to transfer to the next available workshop/course or send a substitute.

A substitute delegate is allowable with written notification to elsie.p@ipweansw.org, no less than 3 working days prior to the workshop.

Cancellation or non-attendance by the registrant at an alternative workshop/course will see the full course fee applied with no refund.

Cancellations by the registrant made under 5 working days from the workshop/course commencement date or non-attendance on the day will see the full course rate applied with no refund.

If IPWEA NSW cancels a course for any reason 5 working days’ notice will be provided by phone or email.

Registrants will be able to transfer to another course or receive a full refund.

IPWEA NSW will not be liable for any associated costs to the registrant or their organisation that may arise from the cancellation of any training event.  This includes travel costs and accommodation.
