Local Government Project Management - 8 CPD - Oct 21
This course is designed to introduce fundamental project management principles and techniques. The course is appropriate for those who are interested in the successful planning, implementation and evaluation of project work.

On completion of this course, participants will:
- understand and implement the principles of project management
- define what a project is
- develop a comprehensive project plan
- determine resource requirements
- determine and manage risk
- consult and communicate with project stakeholders
- manage scope creep and implement contingencies
- evaluate the project
Training will be conducted in two sessions, a small assessment in between and then an assessment at the end of the workshop.

The trainer for this workshop will be Dr Nassim Ghosni - PhD, MSc, BSc, CPEng (Structural Engineer), CPEng (Project Management), RPEQ, NER
Dr Nassim Ghosni is a charted project manager with extensive experience in implementing modern and innovative solutions to increase project and program agility and quality. She is an expert in qualitative research, strategic decision making and solution analysis. Dr Ghosni is experienced in designing tailor made project solutions, strategic planning, operations, and disaster management. Furthermore, she has experience in project controls and management, project scheduling and cost control. She has also been involved in developing project management guidelines and frameworks, project performance reporting, program/project planning, risk analysis and management, incorporating cost-risk contingencies, time-cost analysis, etc.
