Bridge Inspection and Maintenance Level 1 & 2 Course - this is the only nationally recognised course, links with RIICSG405D Carry out Inspections of Civil Structures.
This course has been designed specifically to provide local government road designers, civil construction contractors and asset managers with a better knowledge of the inspection and maintenance of Bridge structures. This two-day course will provide participants with the knowledge and practical experience of how to combine relevant information from the best practice bridge management documents to assist in and conduct the inspection, maintenance and management of bridge assets in a local government context.
It is suited for those working in local government and involved in the inspection, condition assessment, maintenance of bridges, and for managers looking into bridge’s life cycle costing, and programming of tasks associated with the management of timber bridges in NSW.
This training program is designed to follow the processes and management tools in the BRIDGEguide, Bridge Inspection and Management Manual. This manual is produced by the Roads & Transport Directorate and the Bridge Working Group. A complimentary copy will be provided to all participants.
PRESENTER: MAL MONTGOMERY
Your presenter is Bridge Inspection Services Manager Mal Montgomery from Bridge Knowledge Pty Ltd. After more than 30 years of experience with the RTA/RMS working in all things bridges, he now specialises in Non-destructive bridge inspections which involves condition assessment and reporting with recommendations of maintenance action, calculation of bridge load limits, and Bridge construction surveillance.
