2026 State Conference
Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 08:00 am - Thursday 23 April 2026 at 11:30 amThis year’s theme reflects the need for public works professionals to lead with confidence through technological, environmental, and regulatory change. With over 50 speakers, technical streams, keynotes, panel sessions, and masterclasses, the 2026 State Conference will explore how we can build infrastructure that’s resilient, adaptable, and ready for the future.
Want to be a part of the 2026 State Conference? We’re inviting members to submit a short synopsis for the opportunity to write and present a technical paper at one of our 2026 technical events, including the State Conference, Development Engineering Forum, and Disaster Recovery Forum. If selected, your paper will not only be delivered to an audience of likeminded rofessionals at one of these key events, but will also be published in our online technical resource library and featured in a future edition of the Member eBulletin. We’re looking for real-world insights, lessons learnt, projects delivered, tools developed, innovations applied, or process improvements introduced. Submissions are open to all IPWEA members.
Share what you’ve learnt and help shape better public works practice across our profession. Find out more here.
2026 Engineering Excellence Awards
The 2026 State Conference will conclude with the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards Gala Dinner where we will announce the recipients of the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards. Nominations for these awards are now open and we encourage you to nominate projects and individuals that showcase excellence and leadership.
